Collector - Westchase Office
Reports to Collections Manager
Partial Summary - Contact members on past due accounts utilizing various communication methods. Negotiate payment options and arrangements as circumstances indicate in order to reduce delinquency and losses to the credit union. Make effective use of collection tools. Maintain precise documentation in accordance with credit union policy and objectives. Handle incoming calls from members to resolve payment issues. Prepare repossession files and initiate extensions and amended agreements within prescribed guidelines to assist members in resolving delinquency and avoiding repossession. Skip trace accounts, as needed, and recommend attorney assignments and charge offs to Collections Manager.
Requirements - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. This position requires strong verbal and written communication to uphold a professional image of the credit union. Ability to navigate between multiple systems in gathering and relaying information, including proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word. Successful candidate will have a minimum of two years collections experience with working knowledge of consumer finance collection laws and Bankruptcy regulations. Basic understanding of loan contracts including APR, amortization schedules, and simple interest calculations. Ability to work independently and maintain a strong level of self-motivation that focuses on results. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Regular weekly hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Member Service Representative - Westchase Office
Reports to Member Service Manager
Partial Summary - Service focused individual to accommodate member needs in the Call Center regarding account services and loan applications. Assists members with online banking issues and responds to email requests. Cross-sells MemberSource products and services. Performs research on accounts. Demonstrates a positive, friendly and professional demeanor at all times. Requires critical thinking and effective communication skills, and the ability to resolve member issues.
Call Center and/or extensive customer service experience required. Previous financial institution experience preferred. Must be proficient in a Windows based environment. Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Regular weekly hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; and every other Saturday 8:45am to 1:15pm.
